Ferguson to Host Career Fair with Over 1,500 Job Openings

Wednesday, August 4th, 2021

U.S. Congressman Drew Ferguson (GA-03) today announced his office will host a career fair at West Georgia Technical College’s Callaway Conference Center on Wednesday, September 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will feature over fifteen hundred job openings and businesses in the area like Amazon, Kia, Hyundai, Publix, county and state agencies, and many small-to-medium-sized businesses that are looking to hire employees.

“When meeting with folks at home, I constantly hear about the challenges employers are having rebuilding their workforces due to the pandemic and government interference,” Ferguson said. “We have mom-and-pop shops that survived the pandemic only to be forced to close later on from a lack of workers. I’m hosting a career fair so that every person across Georgia’s Third District has access to opportunities to improve their lives and livelihoods. With more than 1,500 jobs available, I hope those around our community who are looking for work, a career change, or simply trying to take stock of their options will freshen up their resumes, put on their Sunday best, and come down to network at West Georgia Technical College on September 8th.”
