Ferguson Praises USDA Rural Broadband Initiative
WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.) last week attended a United States Department of Agriculture event announcing a new rural broadband pilot program through U.S. Department of Agriculture. The pilot, funded by Congress earlier this year, will offer up to $600 million in loans and grants to help build broadband infrastructure in rural America.
“Rural broadband is critical to ensuring that all Americans have access to 21st century educational and career opportunities,” said Ferguson. “One of my priorities is addressing structural barriers to economic vitality in rural America, and there is no doubt that expanding access to broadband is critical to helping rural communities compete in the global economy.”
