Ferguson Votes to Protect Life

WASHINGTON D.C. –Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.) today voted to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This bill would make it mandatory for healthcare practitioners to care for a baby who survives an attempted abortion in the same way as other children born alive at the same age.
“I am committed to the truth that life begins at conception. I am proud to have supported legislation like the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act which promotes a culture that values and treasures life.”
The bill passed by a vote of 241-183. Ferguson is also a cosponsor of the Sanctity of Human Life Act which would define human life as beginning at conception.
