Dear Friends,
With Members of Congress at home for the District Work Period, it’s with great joy that I have been able to spend some quality time with my friends and family, as well as with many of you.
As we did, I hope you enjoyed this Easter weekend – a time to celebrate the hope and renewal of Jesus Christ. Because He lives, we too can live abundant lives, as we rejoice in the love of our Savior and the hope of His resurrection.
To our Jewish friends, I hope you all have a peaceful Passover as you reflect upon the extraordinary protection of God the Father. These holy days are reminders of how blessed we are to live in a nation where we enjoy the right to freely worship.
Meanwhile, last week was jam-packed with site visits to local businesses and meetings with residents to learn about what’s impacting the Third District.
On Tuesday, I was thrilled to tour Char-Broil headquarters in Columbus and meet with the folks at W.C. Bradley Co. As a leading manufacturer of charcoal, gas, and electric outdoor grills, smokers, fryers, and other accessories, we had a productive discussion about their commitment to innovation and investment in our community. It was also vital to hear firsthand about the challenges they are facing from tariffs to labor retention. Click here to read more about my visit.
On Wednesday, I hit the road for a day in Griffin, with my first stop at the Renaissance Center for Nursing and Healing. I was glad to have the opportunity to tour their outstanding facility and witness some of the excellent work they do to care for patients in our community. They also shared concerns affecting the facility, including staffing shortages. Thank you for having me!
Next, I provided a legislative update to members of the Spalding County Chamber of Commerce, took questions from the audience, and listened to their thoughts and feedback on my work in Congress. Our chambers across Georgia contribute so much to the economic vitality and strong business environments we enjoy. From community development projects and supporting job creation to encouraging entrepreneurs, the members have fostered incredible growth and contributed so much to the Peach State’s future.
One of my top priorities will always be implementing a pro-growth agenda that builds stronger communities and creates more opportunity in our district. Georgia is ripe for economic and business development, and we must continue to implement policies that help companies and entrepreneurs succeed.
Thanks again for having me!
I ended the day by visiting the Ingles Market Pharmacy off of Zebulon Road. During the tour, we discussed the importance of increasing accessibility to community pharmacies and learned how they are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Without question, it’s clear that our healthcare professionals are heroes! Thanks for all that you do!
On Thursday evening, my office proudly hosted an event to honor and congratulate the young men and women from our community who have earned an appointment to one of our nation's Service Academies. Our country is only as strong as the men and women who serve our great nation, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Sanctioned By Russia |
This past week, I was sanctioned by Russia along with many of my Republican and Democrat colleagues in Congress. To be clear, thugs like Vladimir Putin will never intimidate me or the United States of America, and I have never been more proud to stand with Ukraine.
Russia’s unjust and barbaric invasion of Ukraine demands strong action, and that’s why I proudly supported harsh economic sanctions on the Russian government and military arms for Ukraine to help them fight for their freedom.
The United States and our global partners remain steadfast in our support of democracy around the world.

Inflation Soars to New High of 8.5% Under Biden |
Inflation continues to hit new highs under the Biden Administration. Last week's Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, a key inflation indicator, has risen to 8.5% in the past year. Americans are facing the highest inflation rates in four decades, making it extremely difficult to afford everyday items like gas and groceries.
While Democrats attempt to disguise this as “transitory” or place the blame solely on the war in Ukraine, this is an issue that has been gaining ground since Biden took office more than a year ago. Democrats' reckless tax-and-spend policies are only dumping fuel on this economic fire.
Simply put, the American people are paying the price for the Democrats’ tax-and-spend policies.

Building New Roots |
Last Tuesday, Governor Kemp announced that Ecopol, an Italy-based biodegradable film business, will invest more than $38 million and create 130 new jobs at the company’s first North American facility in our neck of the woods in Spalding County.
I appreciate this innovative business for investing in Georgia and for placing their trust in our world-class infrastructure and workforce. This new footprint will provide many exciting opportunities for hardworking Georgians and represents another step in the Peach State's growth as a hub for forward-thinking companies.
Welcome to Georgia’s Third District!

The Week Ahead |
Today’s the last day to file your 2021 tax returns or request an extension. Taxpayers can find answers to their tax questions from home using the IRS online tools and resources. These tools are easy to use and are available to taxpayers at any time
This week, I look forward to spending more time traveling around the district to speak with folks who call it home and small businesses about important issues both at the national and local level.
As always, I’m here to serve you. Please contact my office with any questions, comments, or concerns. Be sure to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to keep track of upcoming legislation and events!
Sincerely,
