Ferguson Honors Third District Police During National Police Week
Washington, DC,
May 18, 2017
Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.) today spoke on the House floor to honor the service of Third District law enforcement during National Police Week. “These brave men and women are moms and dads, sons and daughters, siblings and friends to the very people they serve,” Ferguson said. “We ask them to uphold the law, but so often this seemingly straightforward mandate sends them into the most difficult situations our society faces: tragic accidents, domestic disputes and strife that threatens the heart of our towns and communities.” National Police Week is an annual gathering in Washington, D.C. for law enforcement nationwide to honor police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
