One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help the constituents of Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District with issues involving federal agencies. Federal Agencies include the Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Justice, Veterans Administration, Department of Defense, Armed Forces Branches, Department of State, Passport Services, Medicare, Housing and Urban Development and Department of Education among many others.
By providing a privacy release form to my office, my staff is able to submit inquiries to federal agencies regarding the issues that you are experiencing. My staff can assist you with requesting answers to your questions, finding solutions to your issues, and cutting through the red tape. Please know that I cannot force an agency to act in favor of a constituent, however, I can help communicate your issues and concerns to them and request that they take appropriate actions to assist you.
If your situation is an emergency that requires urgent help (an urgent passport request, an ill family member overseas, etc.) you should call my district office in Newnan at 770-683-2033 after submitting the digital privacy release in order to make my staff aware of the urgency of your inquiry.
Please read the following before submitting your request:
- Unfortunately, my office is unable to assist with issues involving state agencies or local municipalities. Examples of state agencies and issue areas that your representative and senator in the Georgia General Assembly, or the Governor's Office of Constituent Services would be able to assist with are the State Department of Labor and unemployment claims, DFACS managed programs such as food stamps, Medicaid, Peach Care, Georgia state tax returns, local housing authorities, state managed roadways, and consumer protection issues. Examples of issues that your local officials can assist with are local ordinance complaints, county maintained roads, and other local government issues. Please see below for information on how to locate and contact the correct officials for these types of issues.
- Governor’s Office of Constituent Services:

- Please keep in mind that the United States Constitution separates power between the legislative and judicial branches of government, and elected officials cannot interfere with legal matters or cases before a court of law. In these instances, you should speak with an attorney. We are ethically unable to refer to specific attorneys, however the Georgia Bar Association can refer you to attorneys that will meet your needs. Their phone number is (404) 527-8700.
- Once you submit your request by completing the digital authorization form linked below, your request will automatically be sent to my casework team and someone will reach out to you shortly. When the form is successfully submitted you will see a confirmation page.
