One of the most important things I do as a U.S. Representative is help the constituents of Georgia’s 3rd congressional district with issues involving federal agencies. Federal Agencies include the Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Justice, Veterans Administration, Department of Defense, Armed Forces Branches, Department of State, Passport Services, Medicare, Housing and Urban Development and Department of Education among many others.
Although I cannot override the decisions made by a federal agency, I am able to submit inquiries regarding the issues that you are experiencing and request answers to your questions, find solutions, or just cut through the red tape. Please know that I cannot force an agency to act in favor of a constituent. However, I can help communicate the circumstances and request that they take appropriate actions to assist you.
If your situation is an emergency that requires urgent help (an urgent passport request, an ill family member overseas, etc.) you should call my district office in Newnan at 770-683-2033 after submitting the digital privacy release in order to make them aware of the urgency of your matter.
Please read the following before submitting your request:
- If your issue concerns a state or local government agency or issue, you should contact either your state level elected official or the local level elected official who would have oversight. You can locate your state and local officials by clicking here. Examples of state agencies and issues that your state house representative, state senator or the governors office of constituent services could assist you with are the State Department of Labor, DFACS, Food Stamps, Medicaid, Peach Care, and Consumer Protection issues.
- Please keep in mind that the United States Constitution separates power between the legislative and judicial branches of government, and elected officials cannot interfere with legal matters or cases before a court of law. In these instances, you should speak with an attorney. We are ethically unable to refer to specific attorneys, however the Georgia Bar Association can refer you to attorneys that will meet your needs. Their phone number is (404) 527-8700.
- Once you submit your request by clicking the button below, your request will automatically be sent to my casework team and someone will reach out to you shortly. There is no need to call unless the case is an emergency situation.
