I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones! I want to use this week’s newsletter as an opportunity to update you on House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

For months, House Republicans have followed the facts and the money to build a record of evidence revealing how President Biden knew, was involved, and benefited from his family’s corruption.

At this stage of the impeachment inquiry, House Republicans have not only shown the corrupt conduct of Joe Biden’s family, but that he and senior White House officials have repeatedly lied about his knowledge and involvement in his family’s schemes – which have involved foreign adversaries like China.

As Speaker Mike Johnson said earlier this month, “Now the appropriate step is to place key witnesses under oath and question them under the penalty of perjury, to fill gaps in the record.” That is exactly what Republicans on the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, House Committee on the Judiciary, and my colleagues and I on the House Committee on Ways and Means are doing – issuing multiple subpoenas over the last few weeks.

What House Republicans Have Uncovered:

Earlier this month, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability released bank records – revealing how Joe Biden received $40,000 in laundered money from Communist China. This came in the form of a personal check from his brother James Biden and sister-in-law Sara Biden.

In October, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability released bank records showing that on March 1, 2018, Americore wired $200,000 into James and Sara Biden’s personal bank account. On the very same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from his personal bank account directly to Joe Biden.

Republicans on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee have also uncovered tens of millions of dollars from foreign adversaries funneled to the Biden family through their corrupt schemes.

The Complicated Web of Biden Family and Associates’ Companies: Biden family members and business associates created a web of over 20 companies — most were limited liability companies formed after Joe Biden became Vice President.

The Biden Family Received Millions of Dollars from Foreign Sources: Bank records show the Biden family, their business associates, and their companies received over $10 million from foreign nationals’ and their related companies. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee has identified payments to Biden family members from foreign companies while he served as Vice President and after he left public office.

The Biden Family Used Business Associates’ Companies to Receive Foreign Funds: Despite creating many companies after Vice President Biden took office, the Biden family used business associates’ companies to receive millions of dollars from foreign companies.

In November, Special Counsel David Weiss admitted to the House Judiciary Committee that despite requesting special attorney authority in his investigation into Hunter Biden, he was denied this status by the Justice Department.

Weiss has repeatedly given conflicting testimony about his authority to charge Hunter Biden when pressed on the subject.

In August, House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman Comer demanded that the National Archives hand over any unredacted records in which President Biden used a pseudonym during his vice presidency.

The National Archives and Records Administration has admitted that it is in possession of nearly 5,400 emails, electronic records and documents that potentially show President Biden using a pseudonym during his vice presidency.

On November 16, 2023, it was reported that Joe Biden, “used one of his email aliases to discuss official White House business with his son and may have used it to covertly advance the Biden family business.”

In July, Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner Devon Archer testified that on approximately 20 occasions Joe Biden called in or was put on speakerphone during Hunter’s business meetings.

Despite the claims that Biden "never discussed" Hunter's business dealings with him, House Republicans have discovered at least 20 examples of Biden, his 2020 campaign staff, and White House officials lying to the American public about this.

In June, my colleagues and I on the Ways and Means Committee released 14 hours of transcribed interviews with two Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers. These interviews revealed that Joe Biden knew about Hunter's shady foreign business deals – and was even in the room for some of them.

The two whistleblowers exposed:

In a WhatsApp message to a CCP official, who was a "key figure" in facilitating Hunter Biden's business deals with China, Hunter Biden said, "I am sitting here with my father and we would like to know why the commitment has not been fulfilled."

In additional testimony, it was revealed that then-Vice President Biden was present at a Chinese Energy company meeting that Hunter Biden arranged.

It has been discovered that Hunter received money from Ukraine, China, and Romania.

President Biden’s DOJ engaged in attempts to delay, divulge, and deny IRS investigators. Whistleblowers faced retaliation for telling the truth. For years, Hunter didn't report all of his income to the IRS. Whistleblowers say he broke multiple laws in the process and much of the income was from foreign sources.

Attorney General Merrick Garland ignored concerns that the Justice Department would not be impartial by refusing to appoint a special prosecutor for the Hunter Biden investigation.

In August 2020, a search warrant uncovered a text between Hunter and Henry Zhao, an executive at a Chinese company that paid Hunter $100,000. The text mentioned Joe Biden repeatedly. Investigators were not allowed to verify the information they were told: "there is no way we will get it approved.”

WHAT HOUSE REPUBLICANS ARE DOING:

House Republicans have sent subpoenas and interview requests to over 20 people related to the President Biden impeachment inquiry.

In November, House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer issued subpoenas to: President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, brother, James Biden, and Biden family associate, Rob Walker, Eric Schwerin and Mervyn Yan.

Chairman Comer also requested additional members of the Biden family and their associates appear for transcribed interviews. On November 13, 2023, Chairman Comer issued a subpoena to former White House Counsel Dana Remus to appear for a deposition related to President Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. In addition, Chairman Comer is seeking transcribed interviews with four White House employees familiar with President Biden’s mishandling of classified material.

On November 15, 2023, Chairman Comer, House Committee on the Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, and House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith called on Hunter Biden’s “sugar brother,” Kevin Morris, to appear for a transcribed interview. Kevin Morris, a Hollywood lawyer and Democrat donor, reportedly has “lent” millions of dollars to Hunter Biden to help him pay back taxes.

As we continue to follow the facts, we are committed to delivering the transparency and accountability that the American people deserve. I will keep you updated throughout this inquiry.
