May 12, 2017
Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.), a member of the Education and the Workforce Committee, yesterday hosted a Labor Roundtable with industry leaders from the Griffin area. The event was hosted in conjunction with the Georgia Association of Manufacturers and 1888 Mills, LLC. The meeting covered a number of issues facing Third District manufacturers including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and reporting, providing benefits for employees and workforce development. “This week has been a great opportunity for me to hear from our industry leaders and learn how our work in Washington effects the opportunities of Third District Georgians,” said Ferguson. “These leaders are committed to their employees and the communities they serve. I appreciate the chance to engage in these conversations and am eager to partner with them to continue making the Third District a competitive place to do business.” Roundtable participants included 1888 Mills, LLC, Grenzebach, Kason Industries, E.G.O. North America and Ranew’s. Ferguson hosted another labor roundtable and a roundtable on higher education during the district work week. ### |
