Ferguson Supports President, Votes to Curb Spending
Washington, DC,
June 8, 2018
Congressman Drew Ferguson, a member of the Committee on the Budget, voted to pass H.R. 3, the Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act. This rescissions package was requested by President Trump and cuts $14.835 billion in expired and unnecessary government programs. “The American people expect us to be good stewards of their hard-earned tax dollars,” said Ferguson. “With this vote, we are honoring that commitment and reclaiming unspent money from wasteful or expired government programs. This fiscal responsibility ensures that our nation is on firmer financial footing.” The bill passed by a vote of 210-206. ### |
