Ferguson Votes for Budget for a Brighter American Future

Congressmen Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.), a member of the House Committee on the Budget, today voted to pass the Budget for a Brighter American Future out of committee.

“The Budget for a Brighter American Future builds off the successes we have already seen from pro-growth policies like tax reform and regulatory relief. Our economy is growing, Americans are obtaining good paying jobs, and keeping more of their hard-earned money. That is why, now more than ever, it is our duty to deliver a budget that puts our nation on the path to fiscal responsibility. This budget does just that and ensures a brighter future for all Americans.”

The Budget for a Brighter American Future would:

  • Balance in nine years.
  • Save $5.4 trillion in 10 years by reforming our mandatory spending programs.
  • Reduce the deficit by $9.1 trillion over 10 years.
  • Move forward to repeal and replace all of the Affordable Care Act.
  • Preserve the tax cuts Americans received under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

The Budget for a Brighter American Future passed out of committee by a vote of 21-13.
