Ferguson: American People Expect Congress to Address Spending Crisis
Washington, DC,
February 2, 2017
Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-Ga.) today questioned Director of the Congressional Budget Office Dr. Keith Hall during a Committee on the Budget hearing on The Congressional Budget Office’s Budget and Economic Outlook. During the hearing Ferguson highlighted the importance of making tough choices to address out of control mandatory spending costs. “Until we’re willing to fundamentally and honestly address the mandatory spending crisis, we are not doing anything more than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic,” said Ferguson. “The American people expect us to stop this. We have to get better at scoring the budget, and we have to begin taking the emotion and the politics out of our decisions.” To watch Congressman Ferguson question Director Hall, click here or on the image above.
